Social justice is the theme of the Zodiaque Dance Company’s fall program, “The 42nd Season,” taking place Oct. 21-25 in the Drama Theatre in the Center for the Arts, North Campus.

Performance times are 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.

As it enters its 42nd season, the Zodiaque Dance Company will present yet another concert of movement that radiates the stage. The company, faculty, guests and designers remain committed to creative exchanges, with a number of artists embracing the department’s theme this season of social justice.

The concert, directed by Tressa Gorman Crehan and Tom Ralabate, will feature choreography by guest artist Hilary Easton, a faculty member at The Juilliard School; artist-in-residence Jon Lehrer; UB dance faculty and alumni members Michael Lambert and Shelley Hain; faculty member Kerry Ring; alumni Leanne Rinelli and Miranda Zimmerman; and senior Zodiaque performing member Evan Matthew Stewart.

Social justice, one of the five named UB 2020 themes, provides the inspiration for the UB Department of Theatre & Dance’s 2015-16 season.

Tickets for the Zodiaque Dance Company are $20 for the general public and $10 for students from any school and seniors, and may be purchased at the CFA box office and at tickets.com.
