Set up your phone or tablet - UBmail (Gmail)

1. Ensure your phone has a passcode enabled.
   
2. If you don't have the Gmail App already, download it for free from the App Store.
3. Tap Gmail App.
   
4. Enter your full email address (your UBITName@buffalo.edu).
5. Leave the Password field blank.
6. Click Sign-in.
7. You will be redirected to UB's UBITName Login page. Enter your UBITName and password in their respective fields.

2. If you don't have the Gmail App, download it for free from Google Play.
3. Add your account.
   
   • Android 4.0 – 4.4.4: Tap Settings > Add account > Google and touch Next.
   • Android 5.0+: Tap Settings > Accounts > Add account > Google.
4. If you are using Android 4.0 – 4.4.4, touch Existing account > Menu > Browser sign-in. If you are using Android 5.0+, tap the right corner and click Browser sign-in.
   
5. Enter your buffalo.edu email address and click Next.
   
6. You will be redirected to UB's UBITName Login page. Enter your UBITName and password in their respective fields.
   
7. Your account will be added to the Android device. The next screen displays Gmail, Calendar, Contacts, and other Google services syncing with your device. You can choose which services to sync.
8. Wait a few moments for the device to display your email.

You can configure any iOS device, including iPhones and iPads, then use your phone's built-in email client to read your UBmail Powered by Google.

1. Tap Settings.
2. Tap Passwords & Accounts.
3. Tap Add Account.
   
4. Select Google account.
5. At prompt: 'Settings' wants to use 'google.com' to sign in.
   
6. Tap Continue.
7. Enter your @buffalo.edu email address for email.
8. When prompted, sign in with your UBITName and UBIT password.
9. Select which services to enable: Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Notes and tap Save.
   
10. Click Done.
