UB Stream is a service for uploading, managing and sharing video files using the university's web application, UB Stream.
As a university service, UB Stream is subject to the terms of the Computer and Network Use Policy. The University at Buffalo reserves the right to remove or limit access to material posted on university services when applicable campus or university policies or codes, contractual obligations, or state or federal laws are violated, but does not monitor the content of material posted on university services.
Copyrighted material should adhere to the requirements of applicable copyright laws.
The standard storage quota provided by UB Stream is 2GB and confined to academic or university-related use. The retention policy for deleted items is 30 days. The University at Buffalo requires compliance with its Record Retention and Disposal policy for specific periods of time in accordance with federal, state, and other legal and institutional requirements.
Upon separation from the university UB Stream accounts will be terminated after notification to the user in accordance with established policies. Any collaborative documents in personal space will no longer be available and all content in your account and links will expire as part of the standard deactivation process.
Utilizing UB Stream services is restricted to active UB faculty and staff. Students may access UB Stream to view files. UB Stream services are not available to alumni, retirees or individuals with volunteer appointments. Access will be granted upon login to the service. Upon separation from the university, UB Stream accounts will be terminated after notification to the individual in accordance with established policies.
Inappropriate use of the UB Stream service may be reported to firstname.lastname@example.org.
UB Stream service is available 24x7 and coincides with the UBlearns service. Availability excludes scheduled maintenance hours. Support for UB Stream service is restricted to UBIT Help Center business hours.
