A Global Navigation Menu has been incorporated in the top right corner of the entry page. Menu links provide quick access to courses, navigation settings and critical aggregated academic information from across the UBlearns system.

Item Analysis provides instructors with data on test performance and test questions, allowing them to identify and edit misleading or ineffective questions.

Blackboard now supports Windows 8 and Mac 10.8 operating systems.

• Video Everywhere - Video Everywhere provides faculty and students with the ability to record and reuse videos in Blackboard Learn. The videos are created and managed through integration with YouTube. Video Everywhere is available from the Content Editor.

• Automated Regrading - If an instructor edits a test question, recalculations of submitted assessments will be performed automatically.
• Negative Marking - Negative Marking allows Instructors to apply negative point values for incorrect answers on assessment questions.
• Rubric Update - Rubrics now include percentage range along with points range.
• Course-to-Course Navigation - Course-to-Course Navigation allows students and instructors to jump from course to course while retaining the context of the page or task from the original page of any recently accessed course.
• Course Structures - Pre-built structures offer navigational elements emphasizing certain aspects of a course such as communication and activity.
• Mobile Support for Mashups - Changes in how mashups are processed allow them to now play on mobile devices.
• Discussions - Instructors can now require students to first post to a forum before they can see other students’ posts. The thread detail page has been thoroughly redesigned while maintaining functionality.
