Downloading Recordings

Some instructors allow recorded videos to be downloaded by students.

If the option is available:

Click to enlarge.

  1. Select the recording you want to view or hear.
  2. Select the Information tab (lower case i in the blue circle).
  3. Choose a download type:
    • Select Audio if you only want to listen to the lecture (mp3).
    • Select Video if you want to see content and listen to audio (m4v).

Adjusting Speed Using a Media Player

Most media players have the ability to change playback speed. UB has had success viewing classroom recordings using VLC as a media player.

VLC is a free and open source multimedia player and framework that plays most files as well as DVD, audio CD, VCD, and various streaming protocols. It is helpful for viewing some course video.
