Enter your UB email address in the Login With Wolfram ID
field. Select Continue without signing in.
In the Activation Key Request form:
Enter your first name, last name and UB email address in their
respecitve fields.
Select Mathematica for Sites (Single Machine) from the
Select a Product dropdown if it is being installed on a
single machine. Select Mathematica for Sites (MathLM) for
networked computers.
Select Windows in the Platform dropdown.
Click Submit. The activation key will be sent to your UB
email address.
Click the Download from UB for UB-Owned Computers
button, above, to download the software.
Double-click the installer file
win_Staff_mathematica8.0.4_20120509.exe that you downloaded
from UB.
The installer will launch. Click Run.
Click Next.
Use the default installation location or choose a different
folder, then click Next.
Keep Wolfram Mathematica as the start menu identifier.
Click Next.
Click Install.
Click Finish. A browser will open acknowledging you have
installed the browser plugins. You must activate Mathematica before
you can use it.
Open the email message sent to your UB email address from
Wolfram. It contains the activation key.
Select Mathematica from your start menu (It may be in
Start, All Programs, Wolfram Mathematica, Wolfram
Mathematica 8).
Enter the activation key exactly as it appears in the email
message: Enter the first 4 characters, a hyphen, the next 4
characters, a hyphen, and the last 6 characters.
Click Activate.
You must agree to the terms of the license agreement to use
Mathematica. Select I accept the terms of this agreement,
then click OK.
