If you are using a Macintosh computer running Boot Camp or running Parallels or VMWare and your computer meets the requirements, you can run Office 2013 on your Mac.
Office 2013 runs on 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems. When you run Office 2013 32-bit on a 64-bit version of a Windows operating system, the program runs in the 32-bit layer of the Windows operating system. Here are supported Windows operating systems on which you can run Office 2013 32-bit and 64-bit programs.
See if your PC is running the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows, then determine the version of Office you need:
*Windows Server 2008 R2 is available only in 64-bit architecture
**Windows Server 2012 is available only in 64-bit architecture
No support is provided for side-by-side installations of 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Office. For example, there is no support for side-by-side installations of Office 2010 32-bit with Office 2013 64-bit, or for Excel 2010 64-bit and Visio 2013 32-bit.
Lync Server 2013 is available only in a 64-bit edition, which requires hardware and a 64-bit edition of the Windows Server operating system. A 32-bit edition of Lync Server 2013 is not available with this release.
You cannot purchase a copy of Office through UB.
This acceptance form is valid for the Microsoft software products you intend to download, which shall be referred to collectively herein as the “Software”. Software is made available to you because The State University of New York at Buffalo (UB) has purchased license coverage for the Software through its Microsoft Campus Subscription Enrollment effective October 1, 2010. UB is ordering the right for you to use the Software for Work-related purposes at home under its Microsoft Campus Subscription Enrollment. You are not licensed to use the Software at home for personal purposes. You do not own the license, rather you are authorized to use the Software pursuant to the terms and conditions of the licensing agreement. You will be required to remove the Software from your home machine immediately if UB decides to no longer participate, or earlier if your UB employment ends. Please note that non-knowledge workers such as maintenance, groundskeepers, cafeteria and mailroom, etc. are ineligible for Work at Home rights if they were not included in the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) employee calculation for UB.

Remove or Uninstall Office 2010 Trial Versions or Office 2013 trial before you download and install Office 2013 from UB. Installing over a trial or demo version causes problems and prompts you for a product key.
If you are prompted for a product key, uninstall the trial or
demo version completely, and then install Office from UB.

Faculty, Staff and Students of SUNY schools other than UB are not eligible to download Microsoft Office from UB. Please contact your college or university's IT department for information on how to obtain Microsoft Office.
We recommend that students stay consistent with the version of Office that their professors use. We do not recommend upgrading before the end of the semester.
