This acceptance form is valid for the Microsoft software products you intend to download, which shall be referred to collectively herein as the “Software”. Software is made available to you because The State University of New York at Buffalo (UB) has purchased license coverage for the Software through its Microsoft Campus Subscription Enrollment effective October 1, 2010. UB is ordering the right for you to use the Software for Work-related purposes at home under its Microsoft Campus Subscription Enrollment. You are not licensed to use the Software at home for personal purposes. You do not own the license, rather you are authorized to use the Software pursuant to the terms and conditions of the licensing agreement. You will be required to remove the Software from your home machine immediately if UB decides to no longer participate, or earlier if your UB employment ends. Please note that non-knowledge workers such as maintenance, groundskeepers, cafeteria and mailroom, etc. are ineligible for Work at Home rights if they were not included in the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) employee calculation for UB.

I downloaded Microsoft office for Mac 2019. I got it installed OK, but it is saying No License Found. Then "Buy Office" or "use Another Account"?
You need to run the serializer file that was packaged with the installer file before you can use Office 2019 (see installation instructions in Step 3, above).
Why am I being prompted for a product key?
Remove or uninstall trial or demo versions, or versions you installed with a license key before you download and install Office from UB. Installing over a trial or demo or a version licensed with a key prompts you for a product key for the UB version.
When I go to open the download, why does it just keep opening a new file instead of installing the software?
Sometimes Chrome says the file has finished downloading, but it hasn't. When you go to install the software, the download is incomplete and won't install. Try downloading Office with a different browser, like Safari, and then installing it.
If I delete a previous version of Office, do my files get deleted?
No.
Can I keep an older version of Office and install Office 2019 for Mac?
You cannot have both Office 2019 and Office 2016. While you can have both Office 2011 and Office 2019, Microsoft does not recommend it.
May I download Office more than once?
Yes.
Can I request a physical copy of Office media?
No.
How long can I use Office?
Your Office download will continue to work the entire time you are at UB. When you are no longer a current student, faculty or staff member, you must remove Office from your computer.
