Black-and-White and Color Printers

Most printers are black-and-white, but there are some color printers available. See Printer Locations and Names.

Paper Type

Public computing site printers use only standard, 20 lb., 8.5 x 11, 100% recycled white paper with a brightness of 90.

Two-Sided (Duplex) Printing

By default, public computing site printers print everything double-sided. You may change this setting to "single-sided" from within your application’s print properties window when you print.

Common Questions

Can colored, specialty, or non-letter-size paper be loaded in the printers?

Sorry, no. Try University Print Services for affordable printing options.

Is binding or stapling available?

Sorry, no. Try University Print Services for affordable printing options.

Why do my fonts look different after printed?

A font (typeface) must be installed on UBIT printers in order for it to be printed. If you need to use an exotic font in a document, try converting the document to an image format before printing.
