Your print job must be released at a Print Release or pay station before it will print.

You can only print to 3 Computing Site printers from UBUnix:

• Bell 101 (default print location)
• Capen 1st floor Cybrary (Silverman Library)
• Abbott Hall (Health Sciences Library)

To submit a file for printing to Bell 101 (the default location), use the lpr command:

lpr filename

To print file to one of the other two printers; you must precede the printer location with –P:

lpr –PCapen filename

lpr –PAbbot filename

You must release your file at a Print Release or Print Release Pay Station before it will print.

Print jobs sent to a printer location but not released remain in the queue for up to 24 hours; if they are not released they are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
