VoIP Voicemail Forwarding

Learn about voicemail forwarding for your VoIP phone, so your messages are forwarded to your email account.

The usual method for picking up your voicemail is by using your VoIP telephone. By request, you can access your voicemail as recorded messages forwarded to your @buffalo.edu email. Your voicemail cannot be transferred to another individual’s email account. The forwarded voicemail will be a WAV file attachment to email.

Forwarding Voicemail to Email

  • You can leave a copy of voicemail messages on the phone and the message will be on your phone and email. Each copy is independent of the other. Your phone will light when the vociemail copy is waiting.
  • You can delete the voicemail message from your phone (DEFAULT). The only retained copy of the message is forwarded to email. Your phone will not light when voicemail is forwarded.

Requesting Voicemail to Email Forwarding
