Using the Soft Keys

Several basic telephone functions are performed using the soft keys, a set of four keys at the bottom of your phone’s display. These keys change depending on what actions are being performed.

Managing Multiple Incoming Calls

  • To answer an incoming call while on another call, press the Answer soft key, which automatically places the first caller on hold.
  • Use the up and down arrow (Navigation)buttons to return to the first caller, then press the Resume soft key.

Placing Calls On Hold

  • While on a call, press the Hold soft key.
  • To retrieve a call, press the Resume soft key.

Transferring Calls

  • While on a call, press the Transfer soft key, then dial the third party’s number.
  • When the third party answers, announce the call, press the Transfer soft key again, then hang up.
  • If the third party is busy or unavailable, press the EndCall soft key, then press the Resume soft key to return to the first party.

Transferring a Call Directly to Another Person’s Voicemail

  1. Answer the call.
  2. Press the Transfer soft key, then press the Messages button.
  3. When the auto attendant answers, press # and enter the 7 digit phone number, followed, without delay, by #.
  4. After the user’s greeting starts to play, press the Transfer soft key again. The greeting will start from the beginning for the caller you are transferring.

Making Conference Calls

  1. While on a call, press the More soft key and then the Confrn soft key.
  2. Dial the second party’s number. When the party answers, press the Confrn soft key again. Repeat to establish up to six callers.

Joining Calls to a Conference Call

  1. While active on a call, highlight another call you want to join and press the Select soft key.
  2. Press the More soft key and then the Join soft key.
  3. Repeat until all calls are joined to conference.

Parking a Call

  • While on a call, press the Park soft key.
    • Note the call park number given on the phone’s display and hang up.
  • To retrieve a parked call on another VoIP phone, pick up the handset and press * before typing the call park number.

A call will remain parked for 120 seconds. If not retrieved, the call will ring back to the phone it originated from.

Sending a Call Direct to Voicemail

Press the idivert soft key to divert calls.

Forwarding Calls from Your Phone

  • To forward calls sent to your phone, press the CFwdALL soft key.
  • To cancel call fowrding, press CFwdALL again.

Adjusting the Contrast on Your Display

  1. Press the settings button.
  2. Select User Preferences and then Contrast.
  3. Use the Down and Up soft keys to adjust the contrast setting of the screen.
  4. Select the Save soft key to save the contrast setting.
