Obtain Phone Technology for the Visually or Hearing Impaired

The campus VoIP system supports various devices and technologies for those with visual or audio impairments. 

The Cisco 8851 model phones support Bluetooth 3.0 technology and can be paired with most Bluetooth devices, including hearing aids.  This phone model is kept in stock and available for purchase, see our Supported Phone Equipment page for details.

The Cisco Jabber softphone application can utilize the accessibility options native to the Windows10 operating system such as increasing the text size, use of the Magnifier tool, and more.

A publicly available  TTY device is located on UB's North Campus, in the Office of Accessibility Resources.
