Why am I no longer eligible for SNAP?

Some of the reasons you may not qualify include:

  1. You are not yet registered for at least 12 credit hours for next semester
  2. Your financial status has changed
  3. Your FASFA is incomplete or not filed yet

CIT cannot determine the exact reasons you no longer qualify for SNAP. To learn the specific reason, contact the Financial Aid Office at 716-645-2450 to speak with or schedule an appointment with an advisor.

What if I show up as ineligible and the above reasons are not applicable?

Contact the Financial Aid Office at 716-645-2450 to speak with or schedule an appointment with an advisor. They will email to confirm eligibility.

Why do I have a hold on my account?

A hold is not placed on the student's account until we have attempted to reach the student and have not resolved the issue for over a semester.

How do I remove the hold on my account?

Click the Check Your SNAP Status link, above. Enter your person number in the "CHECK YOUR SNAP STATUS" box at the top right to determine what is still owed on your SNAP account. Follow the directions on that page to make your payment. Don't know your person number? Contact Student Accounts at 716-645-2450.
