Running the Off-Campus VPN Client AnyConnect on Windows XP

Get started running AnyConnect on Windows XP. AnyConnect provides secure access to a restricted network from another network.

The vendor has changed the name of the product from Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client to Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.

Initial Configuration of AnyConnect on Windows XP:

  1. Double-click on the Cisco AnyConnect software icon to launch the program.
  2. Enter ubvpn.buffalo.edu for Connect to:
  3. Click Select to initiate the connection.
  4. Enter your UBITName and password when prompted.

Once you are connected, you can access services like iprint anywhere as if you were on campus.
