Running the Off-Campus VPN Client AnyConnect on Windows Vista

Get started running AnyConnect on Windows Vista. AnyConnect provides secure access to a restricted network from another network.

The vendor has changed the name of the product from Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client to Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.

Initial Configuration of AnyConnect on Windows Vista:

  1. Launch the Cisco AnyConnect Client by double-clicking on its icon.
  2. Enter ubvpn.buffalo.edu in the Connect to: box.
  3. Click Select to initiate the connection.
  4. Enter your UBITName and password when prompted.

Once you are connected, you can access services like iprint anywhere as if you were on campus.
