Which login should I use?

Most people use their personal UBITName and password  to log into a UBIT service, but some academic and departmental staff can also use the credentials for an "ITORG exception account."

The login screen

To log in as yourself:

  1. Enter your UBITName in the first (username) field
  2. Enter your UBITName password in the Password field
  3. Click Sign In
  4. Review the terms of service and click Agree (first time only)

To log in as your ITORG exception account:

"ITORG exception accounts" are typically used by academic and departmental IT staff.  An ITORG exception account might be created to isolate a student employee’s work email from his or her academic email, for instance. They are different from your UBITName and password.

  1. Enter "ITORG\” followed by your ITORG login in the first (username) field
  2. Enter the ITORG exception account's password in the Password field
  3. Click Sign In
  4. Review the terms of service and click Agree (first time only)
