Setting and Removing Out of Office Replies for Exchowa Web Access Outlook

When you are out of the office on vacation, sabbatical or extended absence for any reason, you can enable the Outlook Out of Office response. When you return, you can turn it off.

Setting Out of Office Replies

  1. Log in to https://exchowa.buffalo.edu
  2. Select Options at the top of the window.
  3. Select Out of Office Assistant, on the left.
  4. Select Send Out of Office auto-replies.
  5. Select Only send during this time range to specify a set time and date range.  Enter dates and times for Start time and End time. Skip this step if you want Outlook to send automatic replies for an indefinite amount of time.
  6. Enter the message you want individuals from within your organization to see.
  7. Choose either Send Out of Office auto-replies only to senders in my Contacts list to limit external autoreplies to only those who are in your Contacts, or Send Out of Office autoreplies to anyone outside my organization to autoreply to all senders.
  8. Enter the message you want individuals from within your Contacts or anyone outside UB's Exchange server to see.
  9. Click Save.

Removing Out of Office Replies

  1. Log in to https://exchowa.buffalo.edu
  2. Select Options at the top of the window.
  3. Select Out of Office Assistant, on the left.
  4. Select Do not send Out of Office auto-replies.
  5. Click Save.
