Find out whether you can keep your UBmail (Central Email)
account after you graduate or after your employment with UB
ends.
Students who do not graduate but do not re-enroll are not
eligible to keep their accounts, except for students on official
leaves of absence from the university [Undergraduates | Graduates].
Keeping your email after graduation depends on your degree conferral date and your decision on whether to opt in with the Alumni Association.
if you graduated starting June 1998, you are eligible to keep
your @buffalo.edu email address through an offer from the UB Alumni
Association.
If you are a UB alumnus/alumna and you already opted in, you do
not need to opt in again if you earn another degree later on.
If you graduated prior to June 1998 or you declined the offer by
the UB Alumni Association:
After 6 months you can no longer access your UB email or many
services at UB. Read more about access to services.
