Outlook is part of the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Outlook is an email application that includes extras like a calendar, contact manager and a journal to help you keep a record of email interactions you want to remember.

Configuring Outlook 2011 for UB Central Email

If you do not already have Outlook 2011, download Microsoft Office 2011.

  1. Launch Microsoft Outlook 2011.
  2. Select Tools > Accounts.
  3. Click + in the lower left corner of the pane. Select E-mail.
  4. Enter your email address for E-mail address.
  5. Enter your UBITName password for Password.
  6. Enter your UBITName for User Name.
  7. Enter IMAP for Type.
  8. Enter for Incoming server.
  9. Select Override default port. Enter 993 for Incoming server.
  10. Select Use SSL to connect (recommended).
  11. Enter for Outgoing server (SMTP).
  12. Select Override default port. Enter 465 for Outgoing server.
  13. Select Use SSL to connect.
  14. Click Add Account.
  15. Enter your computer's keychain password if prompted.
