Configuring eduroam Wi-Fi for iOS

Set up your iOS device to automatically connect to eduroam, UB’s secure, preferred Wi-Fi network.

Applies To: UB students, faculty, staff, researchers

Note: Administrative privileges are needed on your device.

1. Select UB Connect from the available Wi-Fi networks

2. Open Safari and go to buffalo.edu

3. Click Configure and Connect

4. Make sure the device listed matches your device and tap Sign In

Enter your UBITName and password, then tap log in.

5. Enter your UBITName and password, then tap Log In

Tap configure and connect.

6. Make sure the device is correct and tap Configure and Connect  

Allow.

7. Click Allow

Tap Close.

8. Click Close

9. Follow the directions listed:

  1. Go to the Home screen on your device
  2. Tap Settings > Profile Downloaded
  3. Tap Install

10. Once installed you should automatically connect to eduroam. If you didn't:

  1. Home > Settings > Wi-Fi
  2. Make sure the Wi-Fi is turned on
  3. Select eduroam network manually
  4. If successful, a small check mark will appear next to eduroam
eduroam-tls mobile config file needs to be run.

11. Tap the University at Buffalo eduroam-tls MobileConfig file to run it

tap install.

12. Tap Install

tap install again.

13. Tap Install

Tap Done. Your install is complete.

14.  Tap Done. Your  install is complete
