"Can't sign in to Skype for Business," error?

The first time you sign into Skype for Business, you will receive an error “Can’t sign in to Skype for Business." This problem occurs both the first time you sign into Skype for Business and when you are using a shared or public machine. This is a known issue and can be resolved by a second sign in.


1. An error will pop up:  Can’t Sign in to Skype for Business.

2. Click OK.


3. In the User name field change the full email address to ad\ followed by your UBITName (e.g., ad\jdoe) and re-enter your UBIT password.

4. Click Sign In.

5. When you click on a URL to join a Skype for Business meeting, you will see the sign in request.
