After a colleague grants you permission to his or her calendar,
open it in Outlook to check that person’s availability.
After you access a shared
Calendar for the first time, the Calendar is added to the
Navigation Pane. The next time you want to view the shared
Calendar, click it in the Navigation Pane.
To view a colleague’s default Calendar for the first time
with:
- Microsoft Outlook 2007
- Select Calendar in the Navigation pane.
- Select Open a Shared Calendar.
- Enter the name of the colleague whose calendar you want to view
for Name or click Name to select a name
from the Address Book.
- Click OK. The shared Calendar appears adjacent to
any calendar that is already in the view.
- Microsoft Outlook 2010
- Select Calendar in the Navigation pane.
- Select Open a Shared Calendar.
- Enter the name of the colleague whose calendar you want to view
for Name or click Name to select a name
from the Address Book.
- Click OK. The shared Calendar appears adjacent to
any calendar that is already in the view.
- Microsoft Outlook 2011
- Select Calendars from the View switcher.
- Select Open Calendar.
- A new window appears. Click Address Book to choose
a shared calendar
- Enter the name of the colleague whose calendar you want to view
for Address Book.
- Highlight that name in the list.
- Click OK. The shared calendar will open on top of your
calendar. Events on your calendar and events on the shared calendar
appear side-by-side.
- Outlook Web Access (OWA)
- It is not possible to view shared calendars in OWA.
