Learn how to make your calendar visible to your colleagues and
find out how to request permission to view their calendars.
The default Calendar folder in Outlook is created in
each Outlook profile. This folder cannot be renamed or deleted.
To share your default Calendar with a colleague while requesting
permission to view theirs with:
- Microsoft Outlook 2007
- Select Calendar in the Navigation Pane.
- Click Share My Calendar.
- Enter the name of the person that you want to grant access to
view your calendar for To.
- Enter a subject for your email message.
- Select Allow recipient to view your Calendar.
- Select Request permission to view recipient’s
Calendar to see your colleague’s calendar.
- Click Send.
- Microsoft Outlook 2010
- Select Calendar in the Navigation Pane.
- Right-click the default Calendar folder in the
Navigation Pane.
- Click Change Sharing Permissions.
- Select Permissions tab. Click Default.
- Select a permission level for Permission
Level.
- Microsoft Outlook 2011
- Click Calendar in the View switcher.
- Select Home tab > Permissions.
- Select Permission tab.
- Click Add User.
- Select the desired contact's name or Exchange email address.
Click Find.
- Select the desired name among those which populate
the Select User window.
- Click OK.
- Select your desired contact and set his or her permissions
for Read, Write, Delete Items,
and Other. Their Permission Level must be
Reviewer for them to read the full details of your
calendar.
- Click OK.
- Outlook Web Access (OWA)
- You can view already shared calendars in OWA, but you cannot
request to share calendars in OWA.
- Use Microsoft Outlook on your UB-owned computer to share
calendars.
