Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8 Incompatibilities

Microsoft has designated Internet Explorer 8 as a high priority update in the Windows Update process. The Host On Demand (HOD) vendor does NOT yet support Internet Explorer 8 (IE8). The Host On Demand (HOD) vendor does NOT yet support Windows 7.

We cannot guarantee that Windows 7 or IE8 will work with HOD on your workstation.

The HOD Support Team has performed some testing with using Windows 7 and IE8 to access HOD.

Our tests show that HOD does not work with the HOD Cached client on the 64 bit version of Windows 7 using IE8*; but does work on the 32 bit version of Windows 7 using IE8. We found that the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Windows 7 using IE8 do work when using the HOD Thin client.

This testing was limited in the equipment and configurations. Your experience with HOD, Windows 7 and IE8 may vary. We will continue to advise customers as updates are available to us regarding the support of HOD with Windows 7 and IE8.
