Undergraduate Applicants

Freshman and Transfer Applicants, excluding Non-Degree Seeking students and International students, receive their UB information to activate (claim) their UBITName in two separate letters.

Your UB Information

Your UB information consists of 3 pieces of information:

  • Your UB Person Number, an 8-digit hyphenated ID number found at the bottom of your Application Acknowledgement letter, which is sent to you in postal mail.
  • Your UBITName, which is your UB username, located on the cover letter of the packet you receive from UB in postal mail
  • Your single-use password, a one-time-use password located on the cover letter of the same packet in which you receive your UIBITName.

If you can't locate your UB information to claim your UBITName, contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday:
