Get Oracle database connectivity. Academic Oracle System (AOS)
accounts are used for courses requiring Oracle, Independent Study
projects, research projects and personal education for those who
want to learn about databases.
Students, faculty and staff at UB are eligible for Academic
Oracle System accounts. Students enrolled in courses requiring an
Academic Oracle System account will have them created
automatically. Your instructor should inform you when they are
available, typically after the end of the add/drop period.
Instructors for courses that require an Academic Oracle Service
account should submit a request to have the accounts created.
AOS accounts created for individuals enrolled in courses are expired two weeks after the end of classes for that semester. Accounts created by request are expired 6 months after the day of account creation, and can be renewed on request.
