Brilliant color alert! UBIT now offers printing in the Lockwood
2nd floor Cybrary, Capen 1st floor Cybrary, and Abbott 1st floor
Thanks to the new color printers, images, graphs and more can
finally stand out in papers, reports and presentations. While
you're at it, print photos and other personal documents in color.
Either way, you no longer have to leave UB's campus to print and
enjoy documents in color.
"The availability of color printing is great for presenting a
thesis, group project, professional-looking reports and so much
more," said Isabel Morales, a Senior student at UB. "It removes the
stress of having to change the entire color scheme and symbols in
such reports. It also removes the worry of having to find a place
to print in color for a low price. UB, you are my savior of
printing before deadlines!"
Meaghan Flynn, also a Senior student at UB, added, "I used to have to get color printouts from FedEx. No more!"
Any pages sent to these color printers cost only $.30 per page
side for students, faculty or staff, regardless of whether a page
contains any color. The default setting is double-sided printing.
Library guests can also send jobs to the color printer for only
$.60 per page side.
To keep costs down, we recommend submitting only pages containing color to designated color printers, and send remaining pages to black and white printers. Be sure to always preview your pages before printing to ensure everything is displayed correctly.
Like black and white printers, color printers only print on 8.5 x 11 white paper. They are unable to accept special color or texture paper and can't print on legal (8.5x14) or tabloid (11x17) sized paper.
You can also print to color printers from home or residence hall using iprint anywhere.
