Wait before upgrading faculty and staff computers to Windows
8
Published March 31, 2013
The UB Workstation Standards Committee recommends waiting on
upgrading computers to Windows 8.
CIT is testing services and software commonly used at UB to determine if they work with Windows 8. View current results of Windows 8 testing at UB to help you determine when to upgrade UB-owned computers.
If faculty and staff have new Windows 8 computers, the latest
version of Symantec AntiVirus for UB-owned computers will work
with Windows 8. A similar version is avaiilable for faculty
and staff personally owned computers.
UBIT Alerts inform the UB community about IT service outages and
