UBbox offers the campus secure storage

UBbox is a cloud storage service available for all active UB students, faculty and staff. This modern file sync-and-share solution is available anywhere, anytime, on any device. By using UBbox, you can be confident that your information is encrypted and highly secure.

UBbox is a major step forward in terms of IT services. I’ve received repeated requests for an easy-to-use, cloud-based file storage and sharing service from the UB community over the past couple of years. Since launching the service in March, I’ve had the pleasure of receiving several congratulatory emails from faculty who said they greatly appreciate this new service.

As of September 21, 2016, over 17,000 UB students, faculty and staff have activated their account and are using over 51 TB of storage.

The value of UBbox expands beyond our campus. We are in the process of obtaining certification to use UBbox for UB’s health-related academic units. UBbox can greatly simplify the process that our medical doctors go through in their joint relationships with service providers and the university.

UBbox puts control of technology in the hands of our customers and I believe it will empower faculty and students to be more successful in their careers at UB.
