Are you a former UB student, faculty or staff member using your UBmail address to log into Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel and PowerPoint online? You’ll need to migrate your OneDrive files and other data by June 30, 2020.

We are making changes as part of a larger effort to be able to provide Microsoft 365 more widely for current UB students, faculty and staff.

Unfortunately, our Microsoft license no longer allows us to provide Microsoft 365 apps and OneDrive cloud storage to previous students and employees.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

What should I do to prepare?

We strongly recommend moving the data in your UB-affiliated OneDrive account to another storage platform before June 30, 2020.

Microsoft offers 5 GB of OneDrive for free; you can sign up with a non-UB email address at onedrive.com

Who can I contact if I experience problems with this transition?

The UBIT Help Center can provide assistance if needed during this transition. Contact the UBIT Help Center at buffalo.edu/ubit/help, or by phone at 716-645-3542.
