MATLAB is the most popular title in a suite of software provided by MathWorks. There are over a dozen MathWorks titles, including MATLAB, Simulink and companion software, available to the UB community.

To download MATLAB and other MathWorks titles, create an account on the University at Buffalo MATLAB Portal.

 

How do I get it?

1. Go to the University at Buffalo MATLAB Portal

2. Click “Sign in to get started” under the Get MATLAB section.

3. Create a MathWorks Account.

Once you have a MathWorks account, you can download and activate MATLAB and other MathWorks software on your computer. You can also use MATLAB Online from a web browser.

What is available besides MATLAB?

UB’s MathWorks license comes with access to dozens of pieces of software, including MATLAB, Simulink and a variety of companion software for specific disciplines.

If you have trouble installing MATLAB, go to the University at Buffalo MATLAB Portal and click “Need Installation Help” to get support.

If you are not familiar with MATLAB, you can take a free MATLAB Onramp tutorial by clicking “Learn to use MATLAB and Simulink” on the UB MATLAB portal.
