UB faculty: please join UBIT for a focus group on December 4, 2019 at 3 p.m. in 103 Wende Hall, and tell us how we could be better meeting your research and teaching needs.

Have you used new wireless presentation technology in classrooms? What are your thoughts on two-step verification coming to UB? Have you integrated Top Hat into your lectures in innovative ways? We want to know how you’re using technology in your role as faculty, and how we can improve UB’s technology offerings.

Faculty voices matter

UBIT regularly seeks faculty input, working with UBIT Faculty Fellow Valerie Nesset, the Faculty Senate IT Subcommittee, our bi-annual Faculty IT Surveys and other channels.

Held at least once annually, UBIT faculty focus groups are designed to elicit diverse opinions from new and returning faculty. All are welcome to attend.

Faculty input has informed changes to classroom technology, like the recent introduction of wireless presentation technology, and a partnership with classroom response company Top Hat, the most popular solution for UB faculty, which provides discounts to students.
