As of February 1, 2017, Adobe Flash is not currently working in the Chrome web browser in UB’s public computing sites and technology classrooms. UBIT is aware of the problem and working to provide a fast solution. In the meantime, we recommend using another browser, like Firefox or Internet Explorer, in these locations instead.
Anyone navigating to a Web page with a Flash component in Chrome will be greeted with a missing component and a banner that reads “Adobe Flash Player was blocked because it is out of date.” This version of Flash is indeed out of date, and a new version of Chrome was released on Monday, January 30, 2017 that includes the latest version. UBIT is now preparing to update the affected computers with this new version.
