In July 2017, customers using RSA SecurID for Mac, a VPN authentication tool, reported problems being prompted to select a device where the token will be stored. To avoid problems, upgrade now to SecurID 4.1.2.

With the previous version of SecurID, customers are prompted by a pop-up window for a device location. This step isn’t necessary, and the version 4.1.2 update removes it.

This pop-up prompt will no longer appear when you update SecurID.

To download the update for Mac, customers can visit RSA’s website. The update is available for the following Mac OS versions:

  • Mac OS Sierra (version 10.12)
  • Mac OS X El Captain (version 10.11)
  • Mac OS X Mountain Lion (version 10.8)
  • Mac OS X Lion (version 10.7)
