UB Login Phish - Do not click 'IT service: Email address changed successfully' email
An email supposedly from "IT Technology Service" claims that your University email changed and asks that you log in if you did not request this change.
Red flags: How you can tell it is a fake
- The email did not come from an @buffalo.edu user account.
- The greeting is generic and not sent to a particular individual.
- The URL is not a buffalo.edu web site.
I already clicked the links. What should I do?
- If you entered your password, change it immediately - go to Changing Your Password.
- If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.
I did not click on the links. What should I do?
Delete the email.
