UB Login Phish - Do not click 'Instructions following Issue ID 500426A' email
An email supposedly from IT Service claims the university mail server has been blacklisted and asks that you log into a site for "easy mail delivery".
Red flags: How you can tell it is a fake
- Many spelling and grammar mistakes are visible.
- Hovering over the URL indicates that the URL is not a buffalo.edu web site.
I already clicked the links. What should I do?
- If you entered your password, change it immediately - go to Changing Your Password.
- If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.
I did not click on the links. What should I do?
Delete the email.
