UB Login Phish - Do not click '1 New Unread Email Message From UBMail' email

IT Security Alert.

An email claiming to come from the University at Buffalo -Webmail System claims you have an unread email waiting and encourages you to click on a link to read it.

  1. The email did not come from a University at Buffalo email address.    
  2. Hovering on the link shows it goes to a non BUFFALO.EDU website.

I already clicked the links. What should I do?

  • If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.

I did not click on the links. What should I do?

Delete the email.
