UB Login Phish Don't Click "Authenticate Your UNIVERSITY AT BUFFALO Webmail" 1-6-15

An email claiming to be from Microsoft Technology Service is attempting to trick the you into giving away your account information.

Red flags: How you can tell it is a fake

  1. The "From" email address is not an @buffalo.edu address
  2. Hovering on the link shows it goes to a non BUFFALO.EDU website
  3. Grammar/spelling problems within the body of the message.

I already clicked the links. What should I do?

  • If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.

I did not click on the links. What should I do?

Delete the email.
