UB Login Phish: Don't Click "UserProtect Authorization Center" Email 2-12-15

An email claiming to be from the UBmail Buffalo System Administrator is attempting to trick the UB and community and others into giving away their account information.

Red flags: How you can tell it is a fake

  1. If you hover over the URL, you will notice that the link redirects the user to a non-UB site: http://www.yesbio.com.br/wp-content/themes/maximus/Buffalo/Buffalo.html

I already clicked the links. What should I do?

  • If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.

If you have any questions, contact your local IT support or the CIT Help Desk.

I did not click on the links. What should I do?

Delete the email.
