UBIT SECURITY ALERT, 03/30/2015

Electronic zip file: Do not open "Invoice32.zip" Email attachment 3-30-15

An email containing a file called "invoice32.zip" claiming to be from various users at UB is attempting to trick the UB and community and others into opening it.

Red flags: How you can tell it is a fake

  1. Never open files that you were not explicitly expecting.
  2. There is no signature or any other information indicating what this file is.

I already clicked the links. What should I do?

Contact your local IT support or the CIT Help Desk ASAP.

I did not click on the links. What should I do?

Delete the email.
