UB WebMail Account Phish 2-25-2014

An email stating your account needs to be validated is attempting to trick the UB and community and others into giving away their account information.

Red flags: How you can tell it is a fake

  1. Email comes from a non buffalo.edu address.
  2. Links in message go to a non buffalo.edu address.
  3. Webpage does not look like a UB page (don't be tricked sometimes the criminals copy the UB page exactly).  The address of the webpage is not a UB address.     When in doubt always TYPE in the address of UB, www.buffalo.edu and start there.

I already clicked the links. What should I do?
