Information Security Awareness Training

Understanding how information security impacts you while you are at UB is very important. The Information Security Office makes a variety of awareness materials available both electronically and in print. Online awareness materials range from general purpose introductory items to topic specific.  

Training

An introductory level course developed in collaboration with Learning & Development and is intended to introduce general information security concepts. This is available to anyone; no authentication is required.

This UBlearns course explains the laws and regulations that UB needs to comply with and illustrates to effectively achieve that. Handling Data Safely materials are available to anyone with a UBITName.

This security awareness training course covers key security best practices to follow to prevent, detect and respond to information security threats. It is designed to cover all of the essential topics in 30 minutes or less such as password management, identity theft, malware and social engineering.
