The CIT Professional Development Team was formed in 2011 to identify and provide training opportunities for staff, and to enrich the experience of working at UB.
Our charge is to provide guidance to CIT senior leadership on
ways to effectively and efficiently support professional
development within CIT. Possible considerations include (but are
not limited to), workshops, outside speakers, internal speakers,
Ignite competitions, 3E like proposal activities, SUNY IT Exchange
Meetings and more. Our activities are not intended to replace
normal staff development activities and the management of
professional development that already occurs within each unit. It
is meant to supplement that as well as encourage cross unit
development and collaboration. The committee reviews metrics to
track the progress of professional development initiated under this
program and the success of these activities in terms of improving
cross-unit collaboration.
