IT at UB stays in touch with its campus constituents through
several channels, including newsletters, surveys, UBIT Alerts,
messages from our CIO and social media.
The UB community gets a quick view of the current status of IT
services on the IT Services Dashboard right on the IT home page.
Clicking on any service category reveals the details.
UBIT Alerts inform the UB community about IT service outages and
scheduled maintenance. Use them to determine if a problem you are
experiencing is widespread, and to plan around future
maintenance.
Read important announcements about IT services. See a quick view
of headlines on the UBIT home page.
Faculty and staff receive regular electronic newsletters with
information about UB-wide IT: what's new, what's coming and how IT
impacts teaching, learning and research at UB.
Students get IT information on the UB Student Experience channel
on Facebook. The articles are tailored to students' academic cycle
and geared to their IT uses.
UB employees receive email notices from the Chief Information
Office about organizational changes. IT regulations or information
technology responsibilities. These messages are sent using a
campus-wide mailing list (Listserv) of all UB employees.
Visitors to each page in the UBIT website have the opportunity
to comment on the helpfulness of the page content, offer
suggestions and request contact from us.
