Virtual Classroom: Higher Education at UB happens

to create virtual classroom environments, with the ability to
record and preserve sessions for asynchronous access and delivery.
Integration into UBlearns, UB’s learning management system,
simplifies access and support for both faculty and students.
From the desktop to multipoint groups, UB’s virtual classroom
will advance learning and reduce the distances of time and
geography, helping students learn at their own pace, and on their
My Virtual Computing Lab: Mobile technology has the
potential to offer persistent connectivity and virtually unlimited
access to information, resources and tools without regard to
physical location. UB is at the forefront of mobile technology
through UB’s My Virtual Computing Lab, which provides
students, faculty, and staff with complete access to public
computing software and services, all from the convenience of their
home, dorm room, or office. Students no longer have to come to
campus to access software in specialized computer labs.
Site Licensed Software: A valuable component of
collaboration is the ability for universal document interchange and
sharing. Powerful productivity tools such as Microsoft Office are
available to the entire campus, effectively providing an
interchange standard for collaboration. Similarly, site licenses
for state-of-the-art analytical and simulation software, such a
Matlab, remove access barriers for students in providing them with
tools typically used throughout their careers. And to protect
UB’s collaborative efforts, campus wide Anti-Virus and
Internet Protection is provided for all.

Management in the world. ITIL provides a practical,
no-nonsense framework for identifying, planning, delivering and
supporting IT services to the business.
HDI is the professional association and certification body for
the technical service and support industry. Facilitating
collaboration and networking, HDI hosts acclaimed conferences and

and trains thousands of professionals each year. HDI also connects
