Computing and Information Technology (CIT) is a UB service organization led by specialists in their fields.
Thomas R. Furlani is the Interim Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Computing and Information Technology (CIT). CIT is a service division at UB that provides enterprise technology leadership and guidance. Dr. Furlani also serves as Director of UB's Center for Computational Research (CCR).
Tom holds a Doctorate in Chemistry and is the recipient of numerous grants and awards for research.

Nancy Kielar joined UB in 1981. In 1994, she joined the
Office of Senior Vice-President Voldemar Innus as the Chief
Financial Officer. When Voldemar became CIO in 1998, she continued
as CFO. Nancy has also held the title of Chief of Staff since May
2010.
Mark joined what is now CIT in 1985 as a Network Engineer and
has served as a Director of NCS since 1999. Prior to his
staff appointment, he worked as a Student Assistant in University
Computing Services while he attended UB in the Electrical
Engineering Department.
Saira has been with the University since 1999. She has received a Bachelor in Commerce, a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from University of Karachi. She is certified as a Cost and Management Accountant by ICMAP and also has a Masters in Business Administration from University at Buffalo.
Susan Huston has been with the university since 1978 and
Director of Enterprise Application Services (EAS) since 1996. She
holds a Bachelors in Mathematics and a Masters in Library and
Information Science.
Rick joined UB professionally in 1979, and has been in his
present role since 2010. He holds a doctorate in Communication from
UB where he also is a member of the faculty.
Jeff joined what is now CIT in 1994 as a Programmer Analyst and has served as Interim Information Security Officer since 2013. Prior to assuming his current role he was Security Program Manager for 5 years.
