communicating with the campus community about Computing
and Information Technology services, problems and our people.
ITPC staff utilize media tools such as the UBIT newsletter, UBIT website, direct email, posters and publications to inform and direct the campus community as they seek IT solutions, learn about technology directions and aspire to protect themselves and their data.
ITPC staff use a variety of media tools, including social media, to inform campus constituents of service offerings and to keep the campus aware of service events such as outages, service disruptions, and planned maintenance.
ITPC staff author, edit, seek approval and publish IT Policies. UB's Information Technology Policy Library is a series of documents that describe to whom, how, when and under what conditions IT data, applications, services, and facilities are provided.
ITPC staff support the enterprise project management applications and provide operational oversight for application care and maintenance.
The Computer Discipline Office (CDO) counsels, educates and, when necessary, investigates the behaviors of individuals as they use UB's information technology assets relative to IT policies that stipulate IT use at UB.
