Computing and Information Technology (CIT) is a UB service organization led by specialists in their fields.
J. Brice Bible is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer (VPCIO) for UB.
Brice earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Tennessee Technological University and a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in business data communication from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Full bio >
Nancy Kielar joined UB in 1981. In 1994, she joined the
Office of Senior Vice-President Voldemar Innus as the Chief
Financial Officer. When Voldemar became CIO in 1998, she continued
as CFO. Nancy has also held the title of Chief of Staff since May
Larry Schnitzer has been employeed by the university since 1990, and joined CIT in 2000 as a unix systems administrator. In 2006, he took on the role of manager of systems software and in 2016 became Associate Director of EIS. Prior to joining CIT he worked in the CEDAR research group at UB as a digital hardware and software engineer. Larry earned a Masters of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University at Buffalo.
Mark joined what is now CIT in 1985 as a Network Engineer and has served as a Director of NCS since 1999. Prior to his staff appointment, he worked as a Student Assistant in University Computing Services while he attended UB in the Electrical Engineering Department.
Susan Huston has been with the university since 1978 and
Director of Enterprise Application Services (EAS) since 1996. She
holds a Bachelors in Mathematics and a Masters in Library and

As UB’s Interim Information Security Officer, Jeff is responsible for establishing and maintaining a university-wide information risk management program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected.
As Manager, Diana is responsible for overseeing staff who create
communications to the campus, including the UBIT website, social
media and marketing, as well as IT policy. She has been
employed at UB since 2012 and holds a Bachelors in English Writing
and History from University of Pittsburgh.
