Executive Chairman of Moog, Inc., Robert T. (Bob) Brady was appointed to the UB Council by Governor Eliot Spitzer on January 3, 2008. Mr. Brady was born and raised in Buffalo. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering at M.I.T. in 1962, completed a tour of duty as a naval officer in 1964, and then attended the Harvard Business School. He joined Moog in 1966, immediately after graduating from Harvard.

In 1968, Mr. Brady became the Manufacturing Manager of Moog’s Aerospace Division and, in 1976, was named Vice President and General Manager. In 1981, the Aerospace Division was reorganized into four divisions and Mr. Brady became President of the Aerospace Group, and a Moog Director.

In 1988, Mr. Bill Moog, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Moog Inc., retired from active participation in the Company. The Board of Directors elected Bob Brady as President and Chief Executive Officer. In 1996 he was elected Chairman.

In the course of his career with Moog, Mr. Brady has been responsible for the design and manufacture of servovalves, servoactuators and servosystems used in military and commercial aircraft, strategic and tactical missiles, satellites and space vehicles, and a variety of industrial machine controls. Since becoming CEO, he has worked to strengthen the company’s strategic position in its major market areas through internal investment and a number of acquisitions. Over the last ten years, the company’s revenues have tripled and its market capitalization has increased by more than $1 billion.

Mr. Brady is a Director of a number of public corporations including the Seneca Foods Corporation, the M & T Bank Corporation, the Astronics Corporation, and the National Fuel Gas Company. He is currently a Director of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership and a Director of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery.

Mr. Brady and his wife, Ann, live in East Aurora, New York. They have three grown children.
